I just love being able to see photos from our past brides’ weddings! I came across some images from Karina’s western MA wedding at Quonquont Farm in Whately last month, and they are so dreamy! Look at how beautiful she looked? Her half up/half down hair style fit her perfectly, and her natural but slightly amped up makeup look put just the right amount of focus on her eyes. So pretty!

Wedding Makeup for Beth’s Elegant Omni Hotel Wedding | Providence, RI

Whenever a bride comes to us based upon a referral from Alvah Reida Photography, I get excited. His photos are stunning (as you will soon see), so much so that it’s difficult to pick out just a few images to share. He captures emotion perfectly, with a balance of traditional portraiture and artistic style that is simply beautiful. And this bride in particular, Beth, was so lovely to work with! She’s a beauty both inside and out, and it was wonderful to spend the morning with her, both moms, and her 7 supporting ladies. We provided our makeup services at the groom’s parent’s estate in Shrewsbury, MA where all the formal photos were also taken.

Natural and Romantic Wedding Makeup and Hair | The Log Cabin | Holyoke, MA

The Log Cabin is a very popular wedding venue here in western MA, due in large part to the panoramic view of the Berkshires from it’s outdoor ceremony location. A naturally beautiful outdoor setting pairs very well with soft and natural wedding makeup and hair. Think relaxed and romantic, a soft blush on the skin from the sunlight, while hair blows effortlessly in the breeze. This is the look our bride Liane chose for her wedding, and it was absolutely perfect!

Our day started off by prepping 11 beautiful women at the D. Hotel & Suites in Holyoke.

Such a beautifully natural makeup look, with just a touch of black liner to make Liane’s blue-green eyes pop!

Classic Hair & Makeup for Chrissy’s Western MA Wedding | The Starting Gate at GreatHorse | Hampden, MA

We are so excited to share images from our first wedding at The Starting Gate at GreatHorse, one of Western Massachusetts’s newest wedding venues! We had heard such wonderful things about this venue and were looking forward to having the opportunity to work weddings there, so it was super exciting when bride Chrissy reached out to us to do the hair and makeup for her GreatHorse wedding. The venue is just over half an hour away from our studio, perched on a beautiful mountaintop with gorgeous ceremony and reception views. Airbrush Makeup for Taylor’s Backyard Wedding at her Parent’s Estate | Longmeadow, MA

This past summer we had the honor of working with a gorgeous bride for her wedding at her parent’s estate in Longmeadow, MA. Taylor grew up in this house, playing on the property as a child, and always knew she would one day like to have her wedding there as well. The yard is meticulously landscaped, and the gardens maintained by Taylor’s mom herself. It was such a beautiful location! The details were stunning. It was exciting to be able to do makeup for Taylor and her bridal party in the house while overlooking the backyard, and being able to watch everything come together!

Here are some photos of Taylor and her beautiful bridal party, with natural makeup looks we created to fit the outdoor formal occasion. Our makeup services got a 45 minute late start due to the party having their hair done off location at a salon, but we were able to make up for the delay and had everyone ready right on time as planned! (This is unfortunately something that happens quite frequently when hair is done in a salon. We always recommend having hair done at the same location as makeup to prevent any delays to an already stressful day!)

Makeup for Sarah’s Colonial Hotel Wedding | Gardner, MA

I love when I have the opportunity to work with brides from my hometown! Sarah is several years younger than me, but seeing as I am the oldest of 7 siblings, if someone grew up in little ol’ Auburn, MA, chances are, someone knows someone from my family, and that was the case with this beauty. My brother told me what a sweetheart Sarah was, and he was not wrong! As I was doing her makeup at her trial run she recanted stories of her childhood with my brothers, and even visiting with one of them not too long ago. Unfortunately, as is the case with too many others, Sarah had a not-so-good experience at a trial run with another makeup artist prior to reaching out to me. Fortunately it was our hometown connection that got her in touch with me, and I’m so happy it did. It’s always so great to be another part of a local bride’s memories!

Sarah wanted a dramatic but bridal appropriate look for her fairy-tale wedding day. I created a shimmery, contoured eye on her, and paired it with black liner & lashes and a sheer pink cheek and lip. The overall feel was pretty and romantic but with a hint of drama. Here’s a peek at the look we created at her trial run at my studio.

As you’ll see in the gorgeous wedding images below, makeup tends to photograph differently under various lighting conditions. This is why we do recommend going a bit heavier than usual so that in natural light your makeup doesn’t completely disappear!

Makeup for Amanda’s Western MA Wedding | Lord Jeffery Inn | Amherst, MA

It’s kind of crazy how time flies by! We were working one of our weddings this past weekend and was so happy to see our former bride Amanda there, as one of the bridesmaids. I couldn’t believe it had already been a year since her Fall wedding at The Lord Jeffery Inn in Amherst, MA! It’s definitely time to share some photos from her wedding day, courtesy of Seth Kaye Photography. Our makeup artist Betsy did a gorgeous job on her makeup, which was a beautiful natural bridal makeup look.

Susan’s Early Fall Wedding | Harrington Farm | Princeton, MA

Fall is just around the corner, and I know so many people are looking forward to the cooler temps! It’s been a hot, humid summer here in southern New England. As we think wistfully of autumn, look at some gorgeous photos of Susan’s wedding last Fall at Harrington Farm in Princeton, MA.

Susan has big, beautiful doe eyes, so I knew I wanted to make those the focus of her bridal look. Paired with a pretty nude lip and cheek, her wedding makeup look was beautiful and feminine with a hint of drama. For her hair, Susan chose a half up, half down style that was pulled back into a twist with soft flowing curls, secured with a floral hairpiece that matched the flowers in her bouquet. She looked stunning!
