Airbrush Makeup for Taylor’s Backyard Wedding at her Parent’s Estate | Longmeadow, MA

This past summer we had the honor of working with a gorgeous bride for her wedding at her parent’s estate in Longmeadow, MA. Taylor grew up in this house, playing on the property as a child, and always knew she would one day like to have her wedding there as well. The yard is meticulously landscaped, and the gardens maintained by Taylor’s mom herself. It was such a beautiful location! The details were stunning. It was exciting to be able to do makeup for Taylor and her bridal party in the house while overlooking the backyard, and being able to watch everything come together!

Here are some photos of Taylor and her beautiful bridal party, with natural makeup looks we created to fit the outdoor formal occasion. Our makeup services got a 45 minute late start due to the party having their hair done off location at a salon, but we were able to make up for the delay and had everyone ready right on time as planned! (This is unfortunately something that happens quite frequently when hair is done in a salon. We always recommend having hair done at the same location as makeup to prevent any delays to an already stressful day!)

Makeup for Sarah’s Colonial Hotel Wedding | Gardner, MA

I love when I have the opportunity to work with brides from my hometown! Sarah is several years younger than me, but seeing as I am the oldest of 7 siblings, if someone grew up in little ol’ Auburn, MA, chances are, someone knows someone from my family, and that was the case with this beauty. My brother told me what a sweetheart Sarah was, and he was not wrong! As I was doing her makeup at her trial run she recanted stories of her childhood with my brothers, and even visiting with one of them not too long ago. Unfortunately, as is the case with too many others, Sarah had a not-so-good experience at a trial run with another makeup artist prior to reaching out to me. Fortunately it was our hometown connection that got her in touch with me, and I’m so happy it did. It’s always so great to be another part of a local bride’s memories!

Sarah wanted a dramatic but bridal appropriate look for her fairy-tale wedding day. I created a shimmery, contoured eye on her, and paired it with black liner & lashes and a sheer pink cheek and lip. The overall feel was pretty and romantic but with a hint of drama. Here’s a peek at the look we created at her trial run at my studio.

As you’ll see in the gorgeous wedding images below, makeup tends to photograph differently under various lighting conditions. This is why we do recommend going a bit heavier than usual so that in natural light your makeup doesn’t completely disappear!

Makeup for Amanda’s Western MA Wedding | Lord Jeffery Inn | Amherst, MA

It’s kind of crazy how time flies by! We were working one of our weddings this past weekend and was so happy to see our former bride Amanda there, as one of the bridesmaids. I couldn’t believe it had already been a year since her Fall wedding at The Lord Jeffery Inn in Amherst, MA! It’s definitely time to share some photos from her wedding day, courtesy of Seth Kaye Photography. Our makeup artist Betsy did a gorgeous job on her makeup, which was a beautiful natural bridal makeup look.

Susan’s Early Fall Wedding | Harrington Farm | Princeton, MA

Fall is just around the corner, and I know so many people are looking forward to the cooler temps! It’s been a hot, humid summer here in southern New England. As we think wistfully of autumn, look at some gorgeous photos of Susan’s wedding last Fall at Harrington Farm in Princeton, MA.

Susan has big, beautiful doe eyes, so I knew I wanted to make those the focus of her bridal look. Paired with a pretty nude lip and cheek, her wedding makeup look was beautiful and feminine with a hint of drama. For her hair, Susan chose a half up, half down style that was pulled back into a twist with soft flowing curls, secured with a floral hairpiece that matched the flowers in her bouquet. She looked stunning!

Caroline’s 4th of July Wedding | The International Golf Club | Bolton, MA

With the 4th of July right around the corner, I figured today would be a great time to share some photos from Caroline’s 4th of July nuptials last year. Caroline’s wedding was held at The International Golf Club in Bolton, MA and incorporated some really cute American 4th of July themed touches (I especially loved the guys’ socks!). Her makeup look was fresh and flawless, and her hair was pinned back in a beautiful low updo, which is perfect for hot summer days. Catherine and Rachel’s Harrington Farm Wedding – Princeton, MA

I am so excited to share these gorgeous images and video from Catherine and Rachel’s wedding last year! These two beautiful women celebrated their marriage at Harrington Farm in Princeton, MA. Our team worked with a large number of people – 9 for makeup and 14 for hair – so it was a busy but wonderful day! Makeup for Christmas Wedding | Publick House Historic Inn | Sturbridge, MA

Since it’s just after the holiday, and there’s a forecast for snow in the next couple days, I figured today would be a perfect time to share images from Lindsay’s beautiful Christmas wedding, held at the Publick House Historic Inn here in Sturbridge, MA. We’ve had the pleasure of working numerous weddings for this group of ladies. Years ago one was a bridesmaid in a wedding I did, and then one of them was getting married… and then more got married… and we were honored to be the ones to provide bridal beauty services for all of their events! (How much do I love that?!)

For her own wedding, Lindsay opted for a natural bridal makeup look, which looked gorgeous on her. I added a hint of shimmer to her eyes and cheekbones to give off a bit of glow and reflect the lights used as decor around her reception. The whole thing looked magical!

Bridal Hair and Makeup for Berkshires Wedding | Cranwell Resort | Lenox, MA

Even though it doesn’t feel like it lately here in Massachusetts, fall is coming to an end and winter is just around the corner! Autumn weddings are very popular in the Berkshires due to the gorgeous foliage and the near perfect weather New England offers. This beautiful wedding held at the Cranwell Resort in Lenox, MA, with images by Brad Ross Photography, just happens to be one of those.

Our makeup artist Betsy and hair designer Renee met with bride Rebekah for her bridal beauty prep in the bridal suite of this spectacular resort.

Betsy created our signature “bridal smoky eye” on Rebekah, paired with a pretty pink gloss and sculpted cheeks, while Renee smoothed out her curls for a sleek chin-length bob. As you can see in the image above on the right, Rebekah has natural tight curls in her hair, which have been completely smoothed out in the image on the left.

Hair and Makeup for Lindsay’s Spring Floral Wedding | The Collection at Wight Farm | Sturbridge, MA

We love making people look pretty for their weddings, and we especially love when we get to work with the same people again and again! One of the biggest compliments we could ever receive is to have a bridesmaid from a prior wedding hire us to do the hair and makeup for their own wedding. Is there any better way to say “Hey, I LOVED what you did, I want you to do it for me again!” That is exactly the case for our beautiful bride, Lindsay! We did hair and makeup for Lindsay’s sister’s wedding a few years ago, as well as one of her best friends last year, so I was SO happy when she contacted us for her own wedding earlier this year. Lindsay has an amazing sense of fashion (she has a design background and owns her own hat company, French Knot), so I was excited to see the details from her wedding at The Collection at Wight Farm here in Sturbridge.

Lindsay’s wedding had a very fun, casual, outdoorsy feel to it. She opted to wear her hair in a side-swept ponytail, while keeping her makeup pretty natural with a pop of color on her lips. She looked gorgeous!
